Twitch Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Hi guys, I am looking at rebuilding a 5k. Any suggestions on what is best like changing valves to suit unleaded etc... I have read that some people put the 4k head on a 5k, any reasons? Anyway any direction would be greatly appreciated. Twitch. Quote

My suggestion would be to buy a couple of 3ks or 4ks (as they are a dime a dozen, and it doesn't matter if you stuff something), and a K-series Engine Manual (always see these on E-bay). Read the Engine Manual, strip the engines back, have a play and work out what's what etc. Once confident enough, start on the 5k. Sam. Quote
