JiP Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 You have a 4A in your KE30?? You removed the 3K?? You could use a T series box or a W series box with the A or K bellhousing. Quote

JiP Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Are you sure you have an a series engine?? If so no. Quote
Da_77_Rolla Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 yes i recently purchased a 4ac to replace the tired 3k Quote
JiP Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Okay, now your making sense. You'll need A series cross member to match your KE30 too. I hear the W series box is the best. I don't know why your going 4a. Or is it 4age?? Easiest swap is a 5K while you can use your old box. Quote
Da_77_Rolla Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 4a was the cheapest at the time couldn't locate a 5k besides old box is auto and i want to lose that.... definately not a 4age (the one i looked at i didn't think was good for the money) i know that the 4ac isn't the best motor but seemed like the first step forward from the 3k for me Quote
towe001 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Yeah you could use the k-series box but you'll need to find a a-k bellhousing for it cause you wouldn't be able the standard bellhousing to fit the box up to the a-series motor. And the other but to it is that finding a a-k bellhousing would be an uncommon chance and on that note they tend to hold their value very very well. Your best bet would to hunt down a t-series box from an a-series rear drive car and make sure you also grab the bit from the tailshaft that fits to the gearbox, t-series and k-series are different on the output shafts. Da_77_Rolla Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 thankyou for your help...any ideas where to look for a t series box?...can't seem to find one Quote
