trav_555 Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 Damn that dosent sound good at all.... Were going to the Coral Coast or something, its down the bottom somewhere, my sister knows, i don't. Update: I made a manual pedal box out of my ae71 auto pedal box today, looks sexy. I'm getting a clutch pedal soon, hopefully after this weekend and i will modify it to suit. And yes i have pictures, but i thought i transfered them to my computer, and i deleted them before i checked they actualy transferred, so i had wrong pictures on computer and originals not on the phone  And no I'm not gonna go to the workshop just to get pictures of it for you,you will all have to wait till tomorow or whenever i get down there again  Trust me, Its worth the wait. Cheers Travis Quote
SLW42 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 ooo ooo ooo show me these pictures please good sir i am interested in how you did it bud  Quote
trav_555 Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 Ok so here are the pictures of the pedal box. I need the clutch pedal, so far I'm only half happy with the position of the holes for the clutch cylinder, it loks about 3mm out to me..... i think the peice that the pedal connects to is too wide..... But i need the pedal to check, and i need it to be a ke70 manual pedal.... which I'm getting off a mate anytime soon. Heres pics: Opinions? Really want that pedal!!!! Cheers Travis Quote
SLW42 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 how are you mounting the pedal bro if it is outside the box then it should be fine aye but if it inside the box then it will basically be the same as a ke70 pedal box Quote
trav_555 Posted May 4, 2009 Author Report Posted May 4, 2009 Which pedal? Is that how the pedal is meant to sit on the original pedal box i have? not the modified one? cause i had to bolt the pedals up myself and since ive never seen one i don't know if i mounted them right :) Travis Quote
trav_555 Posted May 4, 2009 Author Report Posted May 4, 2009 Alright had a geez at what you are talking about Justin And i fixed it :) Pics Cheers Travis Quote
LukeAE71 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) I might be having a moment here but have you changed the side you mounted the clutch parts on since the pics towards the top of the page?? If you have you now have it all wrong. Am I having a moment?? :) EDIT : I'm having a moment, forget it Edited May 4, 2009 by LukeAE71 Quote
Roo Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 nice welds, the pedal is mounted inside that box thingo not on the outside like in the pic Quote
trav_555 Posted May 4, 2009 Author Report Posted May 4, 2009 Yea Roo i figured that out when i had a second look at it today after Justin questioned it Meh welds are OK.... was so thin, and i had to weld pissy thin stainless in awkward positions to the steel pedal box.... But it will hold I have no doubt in my mind that the welds will hold I think I will use different material next time for ease of welding. Nah Luke you must have been having a moment I copied it off the original pedal box i have, so its correct :) Now i just need to get a pedal and make it suit my needs :D Travis Quote
trav_555 Posted May 10, 2009 Author Report Posted May 10, 2009 Alright, Car is payed off, i bought one of those supercheap engine stands, got it home realised it was nt the exact one i wanted (its a T shaped one.....) Anyway, it will do for now. So tomorow after work, gonna pull the engine apart, and chuck it in boxes ahahaha. Decide what i want to change, and well save up and change it :) Only issue with time is money, so someone should buy my microtech :) Cheers. Travis. Quote
