TRD ke70 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 what about a injected 7k harness and computer, you might beable to get it rechipped??? Quote
NickZ Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 (edited) z|gen....i know the guy that bought it,i got mine from Grimwolge for $200, used it and sold it to my mate for $200 and his mate saw it and wanted one. He bought yours. After he paid i found one on ebay for $200 and one here incomplete for $100.He was so pissed. But thats life. My old one can be seen on the thread "4KZE up and running" Edited April 25, 2005 by NickZ Quote
TRD ke70 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Thats a great idea, but getting ones hands on a 7K-E setup could be hard these days? i know where there's one, has manifolds, wiring and computer.it's all 7k stuff. the inlet manifold has shorter runners than the 4ke, but i don't think i would be to bad. i'll get a price and make sure everything is there and then post it, if anyone wants it they can contact me. blown 5k Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Just make your own,4k-e manifolds are a pretty horrible shape and the injectors run out of duty cycle really early anyway, throttle bodies too small blah blah blah :kiwi: :D Quote
Super Jamie Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Just make your own,4k-e manifolds are a pretty horrible shape and the injectors run out of duty cycle really early anyway, throttle bodies too small blah blah blah :kiwi: :D idea of the week! :y: even i could cut some flanges and pipes out of steel (or alloy) and take them to a metal shop to weld, and manufacture an end plate and a front plate for a decent throttle body. the time consuming part would be the injector bosses Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 you can forget about rechipping ANY toyota ecu.... piggy back yes, rebuild, if ya good. but chipping in the normal sense can't be done with them Quote
Super Jamie Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 there are some dudes on the oldrollas list from norway or something like that, building a top speed ae86 with 4agte. they re-soldered the ecu to provide them the fuel and spark they wanted, and can change it around to suit Quote
Medicine_Man Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Cut the middle man and just go aftermarket, lots more tuning potential.. Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 yeah reworking it can be done, if ya know what ya doing, and so far iv only heard of the blutop being done. the thing is toyota dotn make their ecus with data stored on chips.. its all part of the circuit boards, so you can't write a new chip and swap them Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 hey, i have a 4ke ecu i can sell......$50 usd + shipping also, i did the swap on my ke18 the hardest part was shaving the right motor mount and moving the engine to the right 1 inch so the fuel rail would clear the master cylinder.....but you guys wont have that problem.....(rhd) Quote
