The rally needs rollaclub help!!

 

As you would be aware this Saturday 14 May will see the running of the 2nd round of the KCF Rallysport Short Course Rally Series up at the Jimna Forest.

 

At the moment we are short of officials for control, roadblocks and scoring and will not be able to run the event unless volunteers are found.  If you can help, please contact Sheridan at the BSCC office on 3846 0233 or email [email protected] at your earliest convenience.

 

The event will start at noon and the first car should finish around 4.30 pm.  There is a briefing tonight here at the clubrooms if you could attend, if not we require volunteers to be at Rally HQ at the Jimna Sports Complex by 9.30am.

 

If you have any queries, please give Sheridan a call.

Unfortunately we found some BAD in the extractors of the WRX. It is severely cracked, right near the turbo. It's been cracking for a while and has welded several bolts in places they need to come out of. Plus some of them are in places that you need to remove the engine so that you can get a grinder in. :) So we're OUT of the event this weekend as there is no way we can make it in time.

 

Ah well, it was a big ask considering I just came back from Targa. :D I'm pretty disappointed though, but at the same time somewhat relieved.

 

So Tony you can have service crew Teddy (if he wants that is - I feel like a pimp now!) but only on a temporary basis!!

 

Instead I am going to consol myself by going to the Crusty Demons of Dirt world record attempt show at Queensland Raceway. Cool fun! But I'll be thinking of you rolla heads - good luck and hope you kick ass!!! :P

 

But I'd like to reiterate that the Brisbane Sporting Car Club REALLY needs help, please consider.

that sounds like a really big job you've got a head of you, i'm sorry to hear that you can't make it. if you need grinders,welders or anything to help just give us a call, all to happy to help.

Yeah, unlike the previous 3 (?) years, the event has been POSTPONED (not cancelled) due to excessive rain.

 

They're talking about having it again around July/August.
