Rich_Rolla Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 just thought i'd let u know I'm just bout to finish a ke70 conversion myself..start: standard ke70 83 auto now: 4age manual, locked diff, coil overs in front, cut front falcon springs in rear, R32 GTR front seats, 2inch exauhst straight through muffler, interior completely sprayed black, adjustable pan-ard rod, 15/8" GTR Supa lights, 86 struts and brakes in front, Ae 71 cross member, lots of other little bits and pieces, my budget was 5000 spent around 6000 give or take a few dollars.. on the road in a few weeks best feeling ever mate building it yourself.. good luck with what eva u do.. Cheers mate. That's what I was looking for. Pretty much I just wanna sick it out on practice days down at 'lalla till i get good enough to compete. I guess I'll keep saving and looking into doing the e7 and use the S13 as a last resort as I'm hopefully buying a S13 (or something similar) as my daily lol. So I really want the rolla because I love them. I just want the daily for all the comforts. Quote

SLW42 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 yeah there is always bargains out man!!!! should just make the drifter a daily/drifter and make it comfy and raceable Quote
age Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 mate owns that beige on now and we both just bought another ke70 off a guy on these forums. we are going to base the new one on drifting, i own a 180sx also but don't wanna thrash that around the tracks to much more. basicaly we are going to run the 4k for starters and do all the corona struts etc in the front to achieve the camber you want and just stiffen it up with a locker. newer engine is definitelythe go but that will happen later on Quote
D1doony Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) if you want a competitive budget drifter manual s13, coil overs and good lsd should be no more than 6k on the sly. you will never be able to competitively drift a 4k. and its f@$king hard to be a competitive drifter with anything under 100 at the wheels its obviously possible to "drift" but to do it up against the other "Nissan" guys you need either Nissan or af@$king worked 4age cheap - Nissan expensive- Toyota but obviously id rather rip a skid in a Toyoda. edit: spelling Edited March 5, 2009 by D1doony Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 You can do pretty decent suspension on the cheap with some work, so I say get the ke stuffed with some hp right from the start. Chuck in a ca18 or sr20, and go nuts. Go and make Foxtail (Sam) an offer on his twin charged rig, perhaps. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=25047 Quote
