T 50 Gearbox

I found a celica in marangaroo it is a 1600 LT model it has 5 speed gearbox, now how do i know if this has a T 50 Gearbox as I'm looking for a T50 for my rolla

Is there some sort of stamp on the gearbox?

Any help would be nice :P

 

Plus it has some sweet wheels (chevoit turbo rims)

look on the model plate. it should say something like T50 T292, first one is gearbox, second is diff

 

if it's got a 2t/3t motor, chances are it's a T50

the T50 is also known as a slit case box, the box should be all alloy and the case is bolted together through the top and bottom, (it doesn't have a normal steel pan on it).

Thanks i will have a look under the car, It will be good to get the car if it has the T50 cause i score some rims too.

The car has been sitting there for years apparantly, my bro used to live near it

hopefully i get it cheap :P
