The stretched tyres overdo it for me, something about ruining the handling and just (IMO) looking stupid.

Tyre stretch etc is all part of the theme/style.

Watch some old school option DVD's and that and you will get into it. It only suits a small variety of cars anyway, not newer type corollas or any other type of new car really :hmm:

Stretched tyres actually improve handling to a certain degree. I run 195/50s on my 15x8s, and 185/55 + 185/60s on my 14x8s which I think is sensible stretch..

In saying that the same 185/60 tyres on a 10 inch rim cannot help handling

As Luke said its all part of the style, you either love it or hate it I guess

Cheers, Ben.

I understand the styling, its something that overall, doesnt really appeal to me.

that car is pretty tasteful IMO, its simply the stretch on the tyres that kills it for me.

As for stretched tyres improving handling, each to their own I suppose, but there is a reason you don't see stretched tyres in top tier motorsport, but yeah, everyone has an opinion on it, I'm not a fan, but it has its place still :hmm: :)

It complies with the general rule, rim out, tyre in.

As I understand it Boso is a styling from the early 80's with so called street racer gangs. It is more about outrageous modifications and bodykits rather than their effectiveness on the car.

I personally love it, but can tell you that those cars would last about 10 seconds on Aus Roads firstly due to the crap state of the roads and secondly you would get defected to hell in Adelaide with something like that :lolcry:
