Golberg Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Did a quick photochop for you, made it look more like a car again. Wheels & tyres aren't even close to perfect, did them last and cbf getting them 100%. But that's how your car would look with SSR Forumla Mesh all around (big improvement), I borrowed Roo's rims for the chop but I think he'll see it was for a good cause. Quote
dbr11k Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 thanks man i have 13's on at the moment it looks shit lol got all the bits in tonight but i have ford laser rims on the back and it mad a horrid knocking noise when i fanged it around the corner tonight.. couldnt find any longer control arms so i just put the struts in ill do it later.. i think its in bad need of a wheel alignment because it handles like crap. ill take pics tommorow Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) longer lca's are a dodgy way of adding camber, you better off just using camber tops to give you that extra camber and get extra track from your wheels. looks ok, would be sweet slammed on mrk3s or formula mesh good to see your getting rid of them horrible rims I don't think its that dodgy, as long as you only make a small change. If you get all your track from wheels you can have other problems. In general I prefer the steering on a car with the front wheels close to the strut. Nice car, especially without those massive rims. bLinded_ Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Looks a hell of a lot better with the SSRs on the car. I think a set of chrome bars would also go really well on this with the purple colour scheme. The knocking noise, does it come from the front? If so, could be that the shock gland nut thing has loosened and the shock insert is clunking around inside the strut tube. Pretty common thing to happen. Quote

Nah, that's a good size. Depends what look you're after. Out back, just roll the guards flat and depending on tyre sizes that should be enough. They'll fit up front pretty well, just remove the splash guards. Quote
dbr11k Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 ah cool... i might see if i can scrape up some money then.. the gaurds are already rolled which is good to cheers Quote
bLinded_ Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 (edited) Myself being from Wagga as well, mind if I ask where this 1200 hectare property is? Just out out curiosity that is all. Is it out Oura way? Edit: Feel fre to PM rather than post publicly if you want to keep the location under wraps. Edited February 23, 2009 by bLinded_ Quote
Redwarf Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Thread cleaned at owners request. dbr: just be careful with what you say in future, because what you (may or may not) have inadvertently said started all that..... R Quote
