What sort of money have you poured into that skyline? I know a few people with skylines and spend ridiculous amounts of money on them.

And whats this about a turbo ke36?? and a cressida with a 1J? :y:

 

i don't wanna think about the coin that i have poured into the 32 lol, its so much fun tho.. its basically a go kart now upwards of 12k id say (not including the purchase, mostly cos i had way too much boost running thru the lil ceramic turbos, and blew a few).

 

the ke36 was for sale on here a while back, have been slowly doing it up for a daily, once i have her going, i'll post up my what i have done

 

and the cressy was fkn great, sold it cos auto's are boring, and i did not wanna feed it any more $$

 

 

but it was non turbo 1J power

1984 AD Honda Accord - 1.8L 12-valve SOHC (Rhonda) - written off in August 2001

1989 HG Mitsubishi Galant SE - 4G63 powah... is crap (SOHC 4G63) (Gladys) - bought late 2001, traded in late 2005

1981 KE55E Corolla with 4A-GZE (Lola) - bought in early 2005, now being parted

2003 ZZE122R Corolla Seca Ascent - bought late 2005, sold today :y:

2x KE55E Corolla parts cars - given to me in about 2006, parted then taken to Sims in late 2007

1985? AE71 Corolla - given to me, sold after sitting for a couple of months

1974 TA22 Celica - 13T - bought in early 2007, still got it in same state as when I bought it :D

1994 ST205 Celica GT-Four Group A Rallye - bought in July 2007, still got it :D

Bit of a late reply, but it was actually a 72 model, which was stamped on the firewall.

 

Majority of the parts may have been made late 1971, but it was assembled in Australia in 1972 by AMI :D

'68 KE10 (1k, 4 speed, current daily, always wanted a KE10, got a lot of plans for it, unless i can find another KE26 lol)

Between myself and Robert, these are the cars we have owned:

Me:

TX Gemini - had a blown head gasket and a few rust holes, had it for about a year and couldn't convince my father to let me keep it so I could fix it up

TG Gemini - Maroon, pretty stock, can't remember much about it

a ke55 wagon - can't remember what year model - got it for free, used a few parts off it, then got rid of it again, it was so full of rust it would just crumble when you touched it!

1975 ke30 corolla - Shitty blue paint job, someone had stuck disgusting felt all over the dash and painted the seats white. YUK! Pulled it apart and began sanding it back for a respray, but had to sell it due to having nowhere to work on it.

1980 ke55 corolla - Still have it, it's my baby! Blue paint job, worked 4K.

1976 ke30 - Mango coloured, still had the 3K ended up having to part it out cause the chassis was completely rusted out. Had the best dash I have ever seen in a corolla

1973 ke20 Corolla - Currently almost completely stripped back to bare metal and will soon be treated to a full respray in it's original orange colour and a 4AGE

Hopefully I'll be acquiring a ke16 soon!

 

Robert:

a yellow ke70, 4K, ended it's life rolling through a fence and onto a paddock, not much else notable

1975 ke30 - Mango coloured, same 4k as the ke70, ended it's life when some dickhead poured some petrol over it and flicked a match at it.

VH Commodore - was not looked after properly, kept breaking down

An old Hyundai Excel (Maybe late 80's model) Robert thought that it was a bright idea to buy a car to drive me back to dubbo in rather than a plane ticket from hospital. "I'll resell it" ha ha!

1985 Toyota Corona - Went like stink!

1994 Subaru L-Series - Still own it. Good little beast, does way more work than what should be expected of it!

 

So that's 13 cars between us so far. I'm very attached to my cars, so I don't get rid of mine too often, I just hoard them!

75 ke30 2 door: First car drove it 6 years. Sold it to brother who ran it into the ground over 4-5 years. gone.

79 td gemini sedan: missus' first car. sold

Series 3 mazda capella: was to be a project car, but too much rust so sold it.

ke20: its' nickname was rusty. we rolled it on its' side to remove the motor and box and raided other parts. sold.

74 ke30 2 door: bought for HEAPS of parts. sold

68 ke15 sprinter: had it for 11 years now. drove it 6 months til rego expired, then it sat 3 years in pieces until I needed it and have had it registered 8 years now. Nearly time for a rebuild.

64 EH holden station sedan (wagon lol): cool car, missus favourite all time. we drove it 4 years. sold it to brother who trashed it. now rip (rusting in peace) at my parents.

ke10 tan car: parts car. no motor or box in it, but still other wise complete and restorable with rust it's worst issue. sitting at parents.

ke10 purple car: absolute shitter, bought off some guy who used house paint and didn't mask anything. I stripped it of all good parts and put it out of its' misery... now cubed.

72 HQ holden sedan: factory 202 4speed. was a good solid car which was a driver/work in progress. sadly it got banana'd by a tree which stopped my missus falling of mt nebo. It died a valiant death protecting its' charge in what could have been a tragedy. sitting at parents.

HQ holden sedan: parts car. sitting at parents.

HQ holden one tonner ute: 186 4speed with tipper tray. we gave up on it after deciding it needed a new cab. sitting at parents.

ke16 wagon: was missus daily driver for 4 years. in storage for later resto.

ke10 white car: fairly clean, could have been straightened a bit more before the previous owners painted it. would be an easy one to get going again. sitting at missus' mothers house.

92 holden nova (ae92) sedan: seized motor, I was going to fix it but the car did nothing for me. now cubed.

ke25: was going to fix it up, but I found the ke25 shape did nothing for me while sitting next to my ke15. sold.

89 subaru liberty AWD wagon: not a bad car at all. quite nice to drive. missus current driver.

E32 BMW 730i : FUKENGRUVEN. had it for just over a month. this car is soooo nice to drive. it is the current project/weekend family cruiser. I was looking at a falcadore for a family car, but really they are so common and boring. I have never driven a car so comfortable yet sporting, the handling is unbelievable for its size. geez it gets some attention. it is a big black tough looking limo thing that is stock apart from later BMW 16" rims. one of my mates refers to it as the "mafia-mobile".

Pretty sure it had 72 on the rego papers and 71 on the compliance plate. But yea, probably made early 72 with everything made in 71. Also thought ALL *E25's were made in Japland.
