Hey Guys n gals

So I'm still working on my other project but i was getting the itch to drive a rolla again and i came across this little gem

1979 KE55 sedan

4k with 5 spd

it has a bucket load of new things like battery, hoses, tyres, coil, pitman arm, shocks, etc etc

It's in fantastic condition, just needs a couple of minor things an it'll be sweet

Plans for this one include - new steering wheel, new carpet, fix L/H rear door handle and maybe a new stereo (the old AM can get a bit tiresome)

That pretty much it at this stage, just going to keep it a stocker

That is such a nice example of an original ke55. I agree just keep it like a stocker as these are getting harder to find in that condition. How many kilometers does it have? Was it a one owner car as it certainly looks like it. Great find, keep us posted!

Hey thanks, yeah i was pretty stoked when i went to look at it, had the cash in my pocket and drove it straight home

It has 207 xxx original kms and is a third owner car but all in the same family

I opened the glovebox and found the original log books and owners manual as well as a shitload of receipts for the replaced parts. I also found the original tool kit with jack in the boot

I'm very happy with it

Thanks for the kind words guys

After so long without driving a rolla i'm thouroughly enjoying it

The only thing i have to do is try to keep coming up with reasons for taking it for a spin

Sun visors and roof lining are great, i will take a couple more photos later in the day when the heat dies off a bit

I fitted my new steering wheel earlier today, its aftermarket but i prefer driving with them anyway, When i eventually sell it i'll put the original back on

And Jason, I think your right about me needing milk...... The local shops are out, may have to go for a loooong drive to get some

Edit - Just realised it looks exactly the same as the one in your sig

Unfortunatly the dash is cracked, it is currently covered by a sheepskin cover however i will at least get a black dashmat on there soon and have a think about whether i want to pull the dash out in the futureand get it re done or not
