Building A Ke70 2 Door

Just had a brainwave. How about a ke70 2 door?

 

I did some googling and found 1 photo.

 

I'm just thinking about how I would go about this? Weld the back doors shut...strip the handles and bog up the gaps?

 

Then some customizing inside the back to make a trim to hide the door?

 

Any ideas? This is an idea I'd like to persue.

have you noticed how much shorter the rear of a dx is? a ke70 with bogged up doors will jsut look like a retarded limo. but best of luck to you sir.

just import a TE70 (i think that what they're called). that way everythings in proportion :P

a bloke on ae86dc has done this.. he apparently made longer doors.. looks pretty dam good too.. but yeah like you said weld her up, bog her up, bobs your aunty..

 

i don't really see the point tho. its still a tissue box, but in saying that, ill get another one one day!!

if you want to make one, ke70 panel van doors are about 170mm longer, just cut out centre pillar, move back amount required, reweld. seen this done to commodores, falcons. alot of work and engineering required, you have to reinforce doors, back section. would probably end up a 20,000 dollar car before you even start modyfing it. would be alot easier to import a 2 door version, from probably NZ or thailand where they were available, for easily under 10g's.
