SLO-030 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 If thats Hot what would it be cold. Or even something to set them to so i can get the 4k running then set them to above specs when its hot. Quote
Budowski Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) if cold just set em .05 larger on both like .2 inlet warm so make it .25 inlet cold then .3 exhaust warm and .35 exhaust cold but these will absolutley need readjusting once car has been warmed upto maximum operating tempurture or you may find a missfire or lack of power due to the valvess siting just slightley open when seated. philbey Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 a very quick, crude estimate based on a cam-rocker distance of about 200mm, with a temperature increase of 100 degrees above cold engine temp, the rocker grows about .234mm from cold to hot. So, if you open the COLD length up to .3 - .4mm you should be alright to start it. No flaming! - that was a very fast dirty calc, not taking into account the rocker posts/head growth etc. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 8 and 12 thou HOT for any old farts!!! :P Quote
