hosedogg Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 hey i was just wondering what front springs everyone uses in there ke3x's? my 36 had custom cuts in thr front, and just put some pedders in but the lowest pedders said they had was 1.5" lower and now my car is sitting at least and inch higher then it was before if not more. was just wondering what everyone else uses and what's the lowest ones you can actually buy for them? Cheers Matt Quote
kangaroosa Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Get custom springs made to suit the exact height that you want. Quote
SLO-030 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 265mm free height should get you 5mm off of lowest legal height (at least in SA). Thats what i got ready to go into my 30. Quote
SLO-030 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 bout a 3 point something inch drop i think Quote
philbey Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Are the springs sitting properly in their perches? Quote
SLO-030 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 they sit right. probably not captive with stock shocks of course. Been told to just wire the springs in to stop them fallng out and that was info from a Pedders man haha Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 So your pedders springs sit un captive meaning its just as unsafe as a stock spring thats been cut... Quote
SLO-030 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 So your pedders springs sit un captive meaning its just as unsafe as a stock spring thats been cut... They're kings that i got reset at work. The pedders man said to just wire the f@$kers in to stop them coming out. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Wow thats safe..... Just as good as the KE55 i seen with Zipties holding them in... Quote
hosedogg Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 my current pedders are captive, but there not anywhere near low enough :bash: car sat at least another 1-1.5" lower before with the cuts in it lol. would i only need a shortened shock to suit if my spring was not going to be captive? or do the rolla's need a bit more then that? coln72 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 "Wow thats safe..... Just as good as the KE55 i seen with Zipties holding them " Nothing wrong with zip ties :bash: Held the cut springs in place on my first 'rolla for close to 6 years. Quote
