orangeLJ Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 I would have just bought a couple thousand dollar mustang body from the US and gone from there, import fees would total a couple grand, then go nuts on it and end up with a "real" replica (thats kind of double dutch... but you get the point) Thats not to take away from the skills involved, but they are a bit of an abomination! philbey Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 What skills? Fibrglassing and bog sculpting? Dog ugly. Quote

Ke20nut Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 yeah and thats if u can find a half decent shell in the states, looking at least 20gs for a fast back today that needs total resto. My gf is an american and leaves for the states in march, i will be having her keep an eye out for rollas there . She thinks i have a major illness loving rollas. Quote
orangeLJ Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 :jamie: you obviously have no idea how much a late 60's fastback mustang sells for A little less then what they are selling for here! :hmm: Doesnt have to be a true to kind replica though, that was more the point, any mustang done up as an eleanor would be money better spent then doing it to a corolla or a celica. I wasnt implying that a fastback (of any year) would be cheap as chips. On another note, a company in th US has started doing all new mustang shells, not cure what models they are doing but from memory they were starting with the Mach1 Quote
white_sandshoe Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I actually really like it... Not quite the right proportions, but still... I kinda want to do something similar with my TC Gemini Coupe, then run a 300hp engine in it. Make them laugh, then wipe the smile off their face... I want to go with the ORIGINAL Eleanor though... the Nick Cage one is a bit wankey. Quote
1969 SPRINTER Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 Nice and original! ;) looks great. Quote
Feral4K Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 Fibreglass bog newspaper whatever he gets 10 points from me just for the sheer amount of work gone into it! no worse than a eureka purvis.. Quote
mark1414 Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 He could have started it with a hardtop at least then it would look slightly better. Not really a fan though. Quote
