---Pimp-My-Rolla--- Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 I soo want to see that driving looking like that!! Yeh we tried to get it going, it was firing but not pulling fuel. Probably for the best as it was seriously seriously seriously rusted!! when you touched, bumped, opened anything it would sound like it was raining. Turned out to have a 4k with the welsh plugs sorted (the only possitive) and looks to be a half decent resurrection. Below is the next back yard pick a part horror show. Also 4k 170... kms auto and 3/4 in the grave. Quote
ke20rolla Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Where do you find these rusty rolla's??? In a rainforest or near the ocean. :y: :P Love the pics anywyay. :y: Quote
BlueKsev Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 I have sacrificed many corolla's in my time haha only have photo's for two though. Just finished off an ae71 yesterday. All for a good cause though :) sell parts/ steal bits for the blue ke70 or a new corolla i'm building. Kind of a before and after thing here - Quote
panno123 Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 This is a 83 ke 70 pannelvan i grabbed out of a mates paddock all coverd in lantana had been sitting for over 12 years i managed to salvage a fair bit of stuff then rolled it up with an excavator before we get rid of it for scrap Quote
ke30dude Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 I took most of these in melbourne many years ago, I rescued the brown ke26 from the same paddock and the multi coloured ke20 was wasting away for years in my dads yard before it went for spares. The boot on the green ke20 crumpled and wanted to fold like cardboard, as did the bonnet, I pulled the rear window from it and the lights. The brown one wasnt as bad, it could have been a neat car apart from the rust The teal one was pretty nice, from memory the only thing wrong with it was the gearbox, can't remember who owned them it was a bloke on the oldcorollas yahoo group. B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 You'd still get at least 7K for that shell. Quote
towe001 Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Yup. Just have to have a dig through the For Sale section for the proof that someone mad enough did it. Quote
ke20rolla Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Here is a ke20 which I have just about fully stripped, and yes it's got some patches of rust happening on it, just doesn't show in the pics. ;) I'll be sending her off to the scrapyard in the new year. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Saw this, red top 4AGE, interior pretty much stripped. Its for sale, I reckon he'd take $100. PM me if you wanna know where it is (Sunshine Coast) NO THERE IS NO TWINKY WHEEL, IF THERE WAS IT WOULD BE IN MY GARAGE. Edited December 23, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
Bamboo Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Went to centre road wreckers today looking for 30/55 parts. There wasn't ANY 30/55's. None, nadda, zip. When I was in line paying for some daihatsu parts, the guy in front was asking how much he'd get for a 75 'rolla. Out the front we had a chat. It was his mother in laws car. So I bought it sight unseen. He drove me to pick it up. It had a few days rego, but my, what a POS. Brake pedal goes to the floor, tie rod is so bad at 40 km/h the whole car shakes. But apart from rust in the front guards, and a tiny bit above the rear wheel arches, body looks good. Drivers side doors have been hand painted???? So I may fix it, or I'll wreck it. Being an early dirty 30 it has the all chrome bars front is ok and back is dented. Rear seat is in good nick. Jap diff and chrome insert bonnet with only minor surface rust. LukeAE71 Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 The jap diff be worth a bit to ke20 nuts :) Quote
Bamboo Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 For some reason it's got a ke20 radiator held in with bailing twine. Go figure Quote
towe001 Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 What ?! Not zip ties ? Well thats different Quote
ke70dave Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 That white one has certainly had its day! Hope it was cheap. Quote
