JJT036 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Sorry, didn't realize that he knew. Does it go hard and how hard does it go?? Quote
Tume Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 It does go hard but I'm honestly not wanting to drive like that in it. For me its costed a few odd bob and I don't want that money going down the drain. The plan is to simply cruise it and enjoy. May sound stupid seeing as its supercharged but to be honest it doesn't need to be, since I live in a country area it just means it will be better doing 100. Roughly 165 RWKW's though (redbook figure) so I would say it definitely pulls hard. But my main concern is that its a good nice smooth continuous ride. Quote
SLO-030 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Skids Vids. You have 72hrs to complete this mission  Looks the goods :) Quote
Murd 55 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 165 rwkw that seems liek a low figure for supercharged. my na 4banger pulls 97rwkw. Quote
Tume Posted November 9, 2009 Author Report Posted November 9, 2009 Stock they only run 5psi. Also like I said that is simply a redbook figure I have no idea what it actually is. And no Slo, skid vids mission denied. Quote
SLO-030 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 165 rwkw that seems liek a low figure for supercharged. my na 4banger pulls 97rwkw. As Phil said, They are only low boost engines. And being a luxo barge the SC helps with the low down torque  Quote
Tume Posted November 15, 2009 Author Report Posted November 15, 2009 Pictures say a thousand words.. Quote
JJT036 Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 How did that happen, did someone run into you, or did you clean up something?? Quote
Tume Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Posted November 16, 2009 Going along a dirt road that literally only fits one car a big cat or small dog ran out, I automatically ( and stupidly) braked and since it was on a corner the rear end managed to make contact with a concrete post. This is actually after I got to where I was going and vented out from the inside of the boot, only the tail light globe blew, indicators still work etc. Lucky for the structural support around the fuel tank though hey. 67Rolla-Ken Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Damn, hardly looks worth fixing... that sux. Quote
Tume Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Posted November 16, 2009 Might be simply asking a mate to swap with his paddock basher 30 which has a straighter body. otherwise its nothing a mallet wont fix, only the rear panel is bent (more concerned about the C pillar). Just need to empty the boot and give it a few odd thwacks. If it does come out it will only be a spare car for when something on another car needs fixing anyway. Will need to get my rolla fix another way now. Quote
KJ's Rollas Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Awww dude!! It's sad seeing my old car looking like that... oh well these things happen! Hope you can give it a new breath of life! Saw you parked at Mag Fair - was checking out the beast lol KJ :-) Quote
Murd 55 Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 yeah having a spare car is such a good idea. i own 2 cars and both off the road, sucks to be me! Quote
benzo Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 You'll find that the Statesman makes 167kW at the flywheel, rather than at the wheels. badluck about the Corolla too. Quote
Tume Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 And on a very random note the car is now trading hands back to KJ as he has a friend needing to learn manual. Quote
