Rip out your back seat and check if you have a large black plastic mat between the seat and the fuel tank.

Failing that check your door seals and window seals.

The problem is that the dust is coming in through the vents though. I can actually see it coming out, one day I need to rip out the dash and all that, check why.

Cheers anyway.

Huh? I have both of the levers to the far left. As far as they can go. So its the opposite of warm and not on the 'fresh' part.

like the lil part that has like recycle air and suck air in from outside... hard to explain and don't have photos as if you put it on recylce in cabin air you might not get dust from outside car coming in the air

Yeah I know what you mean. Did what the handbook said to do but still doesn't work. Eh, just gonna have to avoid dirt roads unless really needed.

Okay, you know how the vents at the far ends (Next to the windows) blow in fresh air?? Try turning them all the way to the right and that will close them.

Do you think its dust from outside or something else?? Under the dash on the passenger side there is an air box. When you change from recirculated to fresh a flap opens and closes. Somewhere around that flap there is a filter like sponge. Is that old, decaying and blowing in??

Update.

Bought new rims today after a little bit of a road trip.

Later on just a lick of paint and a good polish should make it all better.

Ok couple updates because I'm bored and forgot all about checking them. Thanks to JiP's comment I have found out where the dirt is coming in, as where there is meant to be a filter...there is a space for a filter :lolcry: .

Also I'm bored here and am meant to be doing my study for year 12, so instead I have decided I shall post up a picture of my car as is at the moment, and pictures I have collected from around RC whenever I have seen something off another person's car that I would like to adapt into mine (along with commentary on what part I'm wanting to use).

My apologies if you do not want me to have your photo's in my thread or idea's on my car, PM if this is the case.

As usual any suggestions good or bad are welcome.

The car as is.

The front splitter on Xany's car, if he ever gets them into production again :) .

Sideskirts, Once again something Xany mentioned and I believe was considering at some point AGES ago.

Wing_028.jpg

Rear wing off of dallaske55's coupe. Have to be suited for a sedan of course though.

The inside of the doors painted black just like this. (Can't remember the owners name, all I know though is that this one one of my favourite Rollas.)

And...the colour should be in hopefully a dark blood red or maroon, just need to find the colour I'm looking for as I'm not really good with describing things. Kind of like a stale blood colour...(I think).

Ok for the last couple of weeks/month the brakes have been feeling like they are getting worn and need to be replaced. Since it is the holidays and last night they majorly felt as if they werent working to standard today I got the gear to replace fronts and when jacking them up....found something I should have noticed when I bought the car. The fact that there is a hotdog in the middle of the car aswell as at the exhaust tip.

Have already booked the car in to get a stock pea shooter welded on since I have no need to have to be able to hear the car's every thought and complaint, and I don't have the welding facilities myself to be able to do it. I'm hoping that it will still be quiet enough as I'm not going to go to the effort to get the middle dog removed.

Also, when I removed the calipers and got to the pad's I noticed, they still have roughly 20-40mm of meat still left on them, and the rotor's are fine. As in not glazed over, when checked the surface is at a continuous point (no waves) so I have no idea why the brakes have been screwing up now. I'm already half way through replacing everything though so I'm going to put the new gear on anyway and just go from there.

Also on the lists for this holidays is to get the automotive completely out of it as it likes to rev a bit when the clutch is let in while changing gears (yes, i am removing my foot from the accelerator) and there might be a vacuum leak or maybe timing a tad out as she doesn't like idling without choke at the moment.

After that's all sorted it will be time to get rid of the rust! Dad went out and bought me a grinder today in preparation so I think he's going to be wanting to show me how to do it all his way. Just hope its the right way  .

Ok...moral of story is always double check your work. Went out to finish the brakes and looked at the pads removing the last one..Found out why the brakes werent working properly. While 3 pads were working fine and all, 1 pad had decided it would disintegrate itself before everyone else.
