Taz_Rx Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Anybody tried the new Miller Chill? Chelada style with lime flavour. Not the sort of thing you would drink a 6 pack of in 1 sitting, but an absolutely awesome afternoon knock off beer. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Anybody tried the new Miller Chill? Chelada style with lime flavour. Not the sort of thing you would drink a 6 pack of in 1 sitting, but an absolutely awesome afternoon knock off beer. Hardly "new" (been out for a good year or two at least), but it is decent, certainly worthwhile trying especially if you like Coronas etc. Better than the average US beer, for sure. And why wouldn't you drink a 6-pack in one sitting? It's not overly strong, and heaps easy to drink, which makes it an excellent session beer (unless you start to get put off by the lemon/lime taste after the 3rd one or so) Quote
Taz_Rx Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Sort of yeah. I'll come home from work and crack one of these. Once that's down and I want another beer I'll move onto TED's for the rest of the night. Can go quite well with the right food too. I made a Thai salad last night with lots of chilli and ginger and stuff and it was great with that. Didn't know its bean out that long, have only recently seen it stocked in our bottleshops. Oh, and I'll drink MGD's till the cows come home!! :) Quote
mensch Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Get yourself some Tamar Valley Pinot Noir Jip. That's the valley in the background of our calendar photo. :D I highly recommend Tamar Ridge "Devil's corner" if you can't find it. And the Ladies won't say no to a glass of Jansz!! :y: Ah, someone who shares my taste for Tasmanian goodness. I concur with Taz. Ninth Island Pinot Noir is a lovely, light red great for summer. Jansz is divine...the only sparkling I like. If you're after whites, go for the pinot grigios from the Marlborough region in NZ or again, from around the Tamar in Tassie. Beer? I like Stella for a light and Newcastle Brown Ale if I'm going for something with substance. Quote
mensch Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 I don't drink beer. I ended up spending over $200 on alcohol yesterday. I didn't get any wine. I'm quite annoyed as i know i'll have family turn up that haven't R.S.V.P.'d. I ended up getting a case of Crown Larger for the beer. Dammit. My 2c worth was too late. Typical. The one topic which I am confident discussing... Quote
