okay soo i am thinking of welding up the back doors and making it a 2dr by putting in rear ke30 windows and stuff or other setups discussed by me n luc!

what i want to know is has anyone done this? pros? cons? how hard is it lol

or am i dreaming?

Yeh, it's a nice sled. Vic car I think.

 

People also chop 1950 Mercury 4 doors into 2 doors, I just bought a mag with an article on it. The market of original 2 doors is drying up so they're onto the 4 doors.

for starters, ke30 2 door sedans use a panel van door (longer than a sedan door) thus the rear window will be allot shorter than the 4 door one (imagine if it was one peice)

 

just find a 2 door, there not that rare you see them on ebay all the time

It would be a lot of work you would need to cut up a 2 door ke30 to get pillars doors quarters probably a lot easier to find a 2door ke30 to start with and transfer your gear into that car.

If you really have the skills necessary, go for it.

 

do it right, consult an engineer, get it all done legit.

 

if you can't do it, don't waste a perfectly good four door by f@$king it up.

 

if you persist, you should be able to find a nice 2dr that won't need much work.

its been done before to similar cars. theres was an orange datsun 1600 that had a 2 door conversion its been in a few mags and won a few awards. its had a supercharged sr20 in it.

 

my bad its got shaved rear doors
