hi guys,

can any one reccomend any brand/model adjustable coil over suspension kits (4) with shocks to suit ae-92 corollas please ??

how much and any links ??

reason i wan t them as with the standard struts you can't run very wide and high rims and tyres due to limited clearance and coil overs will help this.

cheers

question is how wide a tire/rim you want to go? i find the 205/45 to be a perfect fit for both my hatch and seca

if you go to wide, you will still have the same sort of problems, only that instead of rubbing on the spring seat, it will be rubbing on the threaded section of the coilovers

hi mystik,

iv got 17x7" with 205 mm x 40 series wide tyres @ the moment,but i want to fit a 225 rear tyre.

i also have the rear guards lipped already !!!

so how can i over come the problem of rubbing then mate ??

i could use longer wheel studs and a 10 mm thick wheel spacer though ??

will with the coil overs it rub on tyre height wise though ?,as when you go wider tyre the wall height increases !!

cheers

i don't recommend using spacers, due to the fact that you will be putting the stress/weight of the car on the wheel studs,

plus that 10mm further out means that the rubbing may potentially be on the inside of the guard :|

even with coilovers you may not be able to run the size tire you want because most coilovers tend to be slightly larger in diameter, than the standard struts and this due to the threaded section and the spring seat/locking nut

so you either go with the 205/40/17 or you can cut and shut the guards/rear doors.

i personally would stick with the 205 wide tire
