MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 question is how wide a tire/rim you want to go? i find the 205/45 to be a perfect fit for both my hatch and seca if you go to wide, you will still have the same sort of problems, only that instead of rubbing on the spring seat, it will be rubbing on the threaded section of the coilovers Quote

MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 i don't recommend using spacers, due to the fact that you will be putting the stress/weight of the car on the wheel studs, plus that 10mm further out means that the rubbing may potentially be on the inside of the guard :| even with coilovers you may not be able to run the size tire you want because most coilovers tend to be slightly larger in diameter, than the standard struts and this due to the threaded section and the spring seat/locking nut so you either go with the 205/40/17 or you can cut and shut the guards/rear doors. i personally would stick with the 205 wide tire Quote
