toyota_ae71 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) hey, So i did a quick search and couldn't really find anything, my question is.. has anyone customised their standard ke70 pedal box to run the hydraulic clutch of the t-50?? I have a couple of idea's on how to do this, but does anyone have any pics of what they have done?? And how good it worked. Cheers Corey Edited January 13, 2009 by toyota_ae71 Quote
duggy Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 y not go with AE71 pedal box seems alot easyer to me. why mess with something that has been proven to work time and time again Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted January 13, 2009 Author Report Posted January 13, 2009 only because spending 200 odd dollars on 2 pedals is stupid to me... and I'm able to do it, i just wanted to see what/how others had done it. Quote
SLW42 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 don't think it should be to hard aye normally hydraulic clutches have that pin that pushes into the cylinder so i guess you would have to figure out a way to make the pin hold onto the pedal so it wont fall out/off beacuse thats what i'm gonna have to do for my pedal box aswell Quote
D1doony Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 buy an ae71 box. why darn around when this is a bolt in affair? yes the box might cost as much as your car but it has been proven again and again. fork out the money and do it properly the first time. Quote

fusion Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 It might help, or it might not . . . but when I had to make my KE30 Hydraulic I used a T18 pedal box that I got for $50 and welded the clutch pedal to the to the side of the KE30 pedal box. Cheers Fusion Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted January 14, 2009 Author Report Posted January 14, 2009 yeah none of my local wreckers have t-18's or ae71's... hence why i want to make mine. mate has a corona wagon i just got some idea's off, so i think i've got it sorted Quote
SLW42 Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 well gl with it mate let me know how it goes beacuse i will be needing to do it soon aswell Quote
Redwarf Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Vote 1 to wait it out and find an AE71 box. It fits, it works, you don't have to screw around with it. Yes it costs money, but I hate to say it, suck it up as it's worth it in the end. That's why I have procured a TE27 pedal box for one of my cars. Trust me, for $200 you're getting out of it cheap, and everything fits as it should. Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted January 14, 2009 Author Report Posted January 14, 2009 don't have the time to wait it out.. first meeting is on 8th of feb. + i have 3 spares if it doesn't work out. Quote
