ke30 driver Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 hi was wondering what other cars have the correct offset to suit a ke55, eg r31, s13, sigma, datsun, celica and also what is the widest tyre u can fit under standard ke55 gaurds? and what offset? because i go to all the mag wheels places and they look at me stupid when i say i want mags for a 1980 corolla lol Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 hi was wondering what other cars have the correct offset to suit a ke55, eg r31, s13, sigma, datsun, celica and also what is the widest tyre u can fit under standard ke55 gaurds? and what offset? because i go to all the mag wheels places and they look at me stupid when i say i want mags for a 1980 corolla lol A 14" +8 MA61 wheel will fit perfectly under the guards, as long as you run 195 wide rubber, any more and you'll probably have scrubbing issues. 7" is probably about the widest wheel you can go, and +8-10 would be a good range for that width. Also, the style keeps with the style of the car, they're Toyota and the same age so they fit in perfectly, and can be had relatively cheap ($3-400 for a set with tyres) See my KE55 thread in my sig for some photos of what they look like. son of stig Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) if you don't want to pay for aftermarket mags and just want cheap ones off another car, ive used datsun 260z mags, supra mags, sigma mags, cressida mags... most 4 stud RWD cars of the same period and stud pattern fit pretty good. havent gone past 6" wide tho... widest ive gone with no issues is 195s on front, 205s on rear. corona ones don't fit up front unless you are running corona struts. JiP Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Other wheels that fit are meshies, jellybeans, speedy rims, any deltas, hotwires etc. There are always rims for sale in the for sale area. Quote
OniBerserker Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) this is where i got my rims from http://www.otomoto.com.au/photos.htm anything around 7' wide should have offset of +5 to 10ish for the front and about 0 for rear thats is if ke55 offsets are the same as ke70 offsets, correct me if I'm wrong Edited January 13, 2009 by OniBerserker Quote
dori~Ke70 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 hi sorry to bring up a old thread but i was wondering if 15x7 21 offset fit under a ke55 Quote
Clapped out Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 you might be pushing it for clearance with the front struts with the +21 offset, best thing to do is just give one of the wheels a test fit? Quote
