Raven Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Not bad. Has a good impact, thats for sure :( Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 already seen it, and yes one can only hope that it makes an impact Quote
SoulSearcher Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 it's horrifying, but it shows how easily things can go wrong, take care on the roads people! Quote
towe001 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 The very first thing that came to mind was that could very well happen to me For me the big impact was surrounding the kids especially the one at the t-intersection crying out "MUMMY" But the big let down was right at the end when they started showing the "hooning" bit - no-one thinks big of you.... that was a let down. Like an emotional rollercoaster till you hit the brickwall at the end.... now there's a shocking memory Apart from that it was a moving, very moving add Quote
Tume Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Agreed, very moving add except for the hooning part at the end. However, I'm not sure if it will be enough. We are growing up with a generation where blood, guts violence and death are seen as entertainment. Where they will always believe 'it wont be me, but someone else'. Let's just hope it doesn't take anything personal for them to realise they (and everyone thats around them) aren't invincible. Quote
Johno Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I think its an excellent ad and makes a big impact. The only thing is at the end is the hooning. All through the ad is people loosing control for some reason but no hoons loosing control and i think thats a big killer. Quote
SLO-030 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Report Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) Its more of a Stop and Think message. Just because you've done something a thousand times before, doesnt mean it can't go wrong. Like the kid who lived 5 mins away from me. Went to the butchers in his 180 to get a T bone for his dog, on his way back came down the road to where it leveled off for the intersection. Came down a bit fast like he had probalbly done many times. this time it was too fast, got airbourne as the road contiued after the intersection and went head first into a tree. Backing up what Johno has said. hooning isnt what kills people, its the over confident. incompitent (spl?) numbnuts behind the wheel that can't control their vehicle while doing what ever they are doing. towe001 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 In a way i hope more of us on the forum here watches the video and and starts thinking of the possibilities of being behind the wheel It did for me today - even knowing that i watched it last night Stay safe and do it safe people Quote
OniBerserker Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 good compilation i guess i must be desensitized to violence, all i could focus on was how bad the music was but i digress pay attention people Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Shocking crash where people get badly, horribly hurt or even killed Shocking crash where people live yet someone 10cm away from them dies Shocking crash where initially everything seems fine until you see a leg sticking out from under car Disparaging comments about the size of your penis. Gee, I wonder which message will get through better....... Quote
towe001 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Shocking crash where initially everything seems fine until you see a leg sticking out from under car And the kid looking at his mum and then up at you with the look of "why isn't mummy getting up ?" :y: Quote
