The very first thing that came to mind was that could very well happen to me

 

For me the big impact was surrounding the kids

especially the one at the t-intersection crying out "MUMMY"

 

But the big let down was right at the end when they started showing the "hooning" bit - no-one thinks big of you.... that was a let down. Like an emotional rollercoaster till you hit the brickwall at the end.... now there's a shocking memory

 

Apart from that it was a moving, very moving add

Agreed, very moving add except for the hooning part at the end.

 

However, I'm not sure if it will be enough. We are growing up with a generation where blood, guts violence and death are seen as entertainment. Where they will always believe 'it wont be me, but someone else'.

 

Let's just hope it doesn't take anything personal for them to realise they (and everyone thats around them) aren't invincible.

I think its an excellent ad and makes a big impact. The only thing is at the end is the hooning. All through the ad is people loosing control for some reason but no hoons loosing control and i think thats a big killer.

Its more of a Stop and Think message. Just because you've done something a thousand times before, doesnt mean it can't go wrong.

 

Like the kid who lived 5 mins away from me. Went to the butchers in his 180 to get a T bone for his dog, on his way back came down the road to where it leveled off for the intersection. Came down a bit fast like he had probalbly done many times. this time it was too fast, got airbourne as the road contiued after the intersection and went head first into a tree.

 

Backing up what Johno has said. hooning isnt what kills people, its the over confident. incompitent (spl?) numbnuts behind the wheel that can't control their vehicle while doing what ever they are doing.
