JiP Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Maybe its not the cap. Have you thought that the chrome ring mightn't be on properly?? I'm thinking that might be the issue, but off the top of my memory one of my wagons has stains down the side of it, below the filler. I know that my KE30 has that ring glued down, maybe you just need to redo that?
Raven Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 No, he's right. The CPC branded caps are shite. I had one supplied to me for a KE25 and it was wayyy too big and didnt fit, so I found one for a TA22 celica that fit but it leaked. Its honestly not worth the hassle with CPC regarding the fuel caps.

Yeah the chrome ring was my first thought too i did notice it was a little out of shape so ive removed it and fixed up the minor bends in the metal but its kept leaking small amounts of fuel(the rubber in my current cap is well caroded) the cpc cap i got did fix the problem for about two or three days before it shat itself
