KE30_KE35_KE55 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 maybe adjusting the catch down a bit will make the boot shut tighter on the seal. Quote
Trev Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Is your sub facing the front or rear of the vehicle? Quote
SLW42 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 Is your sub facing the front or rear of the vehicle?   towards the rear i've found i get better sound out of it that way   it's not the boot sittin on the seal loosely it's all the bracing rattling and my tailgihts i hav kinda got an idea i'll just flog some sika flex from work an goo it up Quote

LittleRedSpirit Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 More proof that you should save the weight and run without subs and amps in an old car. Â Just prodding... Â Nah seriously, the issue with silicon is its impossible to paint over, and its got a knack for allowing rust to start. Â Sikaflex is good, as said above, buy the stuff designed as panel glue that all the panelbeaters use. Â Or dump the subs and go faster... Quote

Johno Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 (edited) I want a mad stereo in the boot of my corolla but I'll be adding about 70kgs when its done. Thats like carrying a second person around with me all the time. It's sort of making me think twice about doing the stereo. I'll have a faster car when i drop the worked 4age in but it will be faster without the stereo :| Edited January 14, 2009 by Johno Quote
