macca__1590 Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 82 ke70 life story: it cost me 2 cartons of beer and was sitting in a padoc for a year, it was previously used as a bush basher but they obviosuly didnt give it a reall hard time, it still had a radator full of fluid and sump full of oil. got it going for a while but the fule pump was rooted and the tank was full of rust anyway, so we found a mitsubishi magna with a in tank pump and straped the tank in the boot and hooked up the lines. then the next drama, the roof was wobbling like shit, so we put some strapping over top which didnt help. so in the end we just screwed the roof to the roll cage. the roof supports iscracked in places and still makes a *** loud rattling noise when driving so one day i might have to swap the running gear into a ke30 wagon shell that i have. current stuff: home made roll cage 4 point harnesses (cost twice as much as the car) coustom fule tank/pump setup home made sump gard no glass, door linings, carpet, back seat, boot lid, parcil rack (rusted off), back lights coustom paint job mabey in the future: welded diff cut falcon springs all round hold the roof down stuff pics: still brand new Fule tank dodgey roof big crack shotgun wounds action shot Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Awesome! Another member of the basher brigade! I'm going to guess the harnesses cost you 4 cartons? :bash: To solve the rattly roof issue: 9 inch grinder and 5 minutes........ :y: Take the sucker off......... Don't bother re-shelling until it falls apart around you...... ;) More action pics are needed (I request pics of the rollcage, putting one in mine soon), and vids when you do something epic........ Have fun, Yoda. Quote
Johno Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 (edited) Nice paddock basher, i was going to use mine as one but then i found out it was fwd. I seen a ke70 right hand head light for 5 beers, I bargend him to 3 beers for ya. This is just proof once again that rollas can't be killed.. Love the custom paintjob too.
