Bet you guys would have been chuffed with a rwd sticking it up to the awds ! Finely been able to get over to craig's for a wheel alignment - guess who's getting my money for alignments from now on. TRD ke70 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Report Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) She's a neat bit of kit, he came up on the weekend and helped service, as did Teddy and Justin. He knows his stuff when it comes to wheel alignments, after all, we drive all the way from brisbane just to get him to do it. He's also getting a set of motorsport scales very shortly, we could be up there alot more.. Tony and Debbie also got a trophy for Most spectacular, Edited December 4, 2012 by TRD ke70 Quote
towe001 Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Hopefully Craig didn't see the drool  Yep, i can understand why you guys come all that way. Most of the stuff he did on the car, like weights on the drivers floor, bouncing the car, i've never seen anyone else do it. Money well spent i say. Quote
trd Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Here's another video from last weekend : Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 11, 2012 Author Report Posted December 11, 2012 After our first rally season with the new Corolla, we have managed to take out Sportsman A and Club Rally Car title. :rocknroll: It all came down to the last round that was ran a couple of weeks ago. All sportsman crews had to complete 15 stages, which we did, but our competiton didn't. Well done to Tony and Deddie, and a big thank you to Craig,Teddy and Justin for all your help servicing. :hail: Really looking forward to the 2013 season, with the new 6 speed, weight reduction, rebuilt shocks and a few more tweaks, the 2WD rally master series should be fun. 1 Quote
Medicine_Man Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Awesome news!!! Lots of hard work has gone in to the rally car and it shows in the results.. Always glad to come service for you guys and look foward to the new season! Has given me lots of inspiration for my toys :P Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 11, 2012 Author Report Posted December 11, 2012 Tony and I really appreciate all the hard work you, Teddy and Craig put into the car servicing to get these results. Quote
Sznaps Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) do you know how much does your cage weight? Edited December 11, 2012 by Sznaps Quote
snot35 Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Weight reduction? How are you going to get more out of it? Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 I have no idea what the weight of the cage would be, pretty lite compared to what's out there. It's a MANZ approved rollcage, not a CAMS approved cage, so it has a 38mm main hoop and not 44mm main hoop. I'm guessing this would make a bit of a difference in weight. Michael, the car still hasn't got lexan windows, and then there's the innner door frames and winder mech's that can come out after the windows go in, at a guess, about 20kg's. Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 Well have slowly started on the six speed conversion, had to buy some bolts for the bellhousing to gearbox because the helicoils they use on the conversion are 1.5 pitch. Gave the bell housing a much needed bath. We're going to dummy fit the G/B to the car so we can make the gear shift and x member. The old box will be out of the car by the weekend. Close ratio gear kit has been ordered and should be here in the early new year. Quote
altezzaclub Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Looks like an argument for a complete Altezza motor and box conversion package. If anyone ever runs up the back of my Altezza.... Quote
snot35 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Except it would make his new shiny bits redundant. I don't disagree with your comment, you just need to work on your timing altezza ;) Quote
