TRD ke70 Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 Both front door panels are now done and just need to be fixed to the doors. Have started on the rear door panels, hopefully they'll be ready to cut out tomorrow(Sunday). Then we'll mould the rear panel, have something special planned for that!! Oh, we cut the CF with a grinder with a 1mm cut off wheel. And sorry can't tell you what we have spent on CF. 1 Quote
beerhead Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 The only problem with the black carbon is it show's up the white stain's left by corolla lovers :lolcry: 1 Quote
Taz_Rx Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 And sorry can't tell you what we have spent on CF. Because you don't know or don't want to remind yourself!? Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 LOL, because I hate thinking about it!! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 LOL, because I hate thinking about it!! Thought so. I've never done a full, accurate tally on what Tar's EFI conversion cost me for the same reason. :lolcry: It was never about a budget build though, I learnt so much for doing it all. Quote
rob323 Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Wish my door trims were that easy to do....you guys suck! Quote
MattyZ Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 where abouts did ya get the CF from? lovin the build an quality to gives me so much motivation to get my celica done Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) Taz, yeah you are the same as us, it's about building a good car, and a car we want to build, not a car limited by the regulations as it previously was. CAMS still doesn't recognize the 4AGE as a common conversion, but you can put a 3SGE into a Celica and that's OK. Matty, comes from a place called C&G composites in Hendra(Brisbane), they are really helpful and full of advice. Please we motivate you!! And ROB, go f@$k yourself!!! TRD ke70 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 Thanks Matt, it is technical i guess, as the car hasn't been driven yet!! Can we move it back to rides after it's first rally? Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Thanks Matt, it is technical i guess, as the car hasn't been driven yet!! Can we move it back to rides after it's first rally? Yeah sure we can move it to whichever section you are most comfortable in. I just think once people start doing the kind of work you guys have done, they are well and truly worthy of referencing as a technical exercise. The idea of the technical builds section is to collect the threads which offer the best reference to quality of work, originality, determination, exotic conversions, just anything worthy that we do not want to see forgotten in time. Stuff that others will be inspired or informed by. There is so much inspiration in this thread. Coty next year for sure. Quote
love ke70 Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 bring it, coty is mine next year :P Quote
