kangaroosa Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 I'm looking for suggestions on "Mobile" Auto Electricians that you may have used and found to be very good. I'm wiring up the Rotary now and I HATE auto electrics. Preferably S.E Melbourne, but name your contacts and i'll suss them out. Must do Mobile, on site work. Quote
matt99 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Nathan AKA "sprinter86" on the ae86dc forums. PM him, he should be able to help you out. Quote
ogre6br Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 failing that knight auto elecs They have a shop in mulgrave but I know they also run 3 or 4 mobile vans as well http://www.yellowpages.com.au/bi/knight-au...ic-3373347.html I used them for a recent alternator high capacity rebuild and they were great to deal with P Quote
kangaroosa Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 Thanks guys. I knucked down with both the Corolla and RX7 wiring diagrams and have got most of the wiring done (hopefully its right). The 3 wires on the Corolla loom into the two pins on the rx7 alternator has got me stumped though. 3 into 2...... I'll suss out the auto elecs on Monday (whats the bet they are all on holidays like the rest of us) and have one of them check over my work and fix whatever needs to be fixed. Quote

I was thinking of getting the alternator on my 4age rebuilt. I want it to have about 80-100amp Quote

I want it to have about 80-100amp Whats your wiring rated to? I had the alternator on my K engine rebuilt when i had the 5K in it. Apparently KE30 looms are only rated to 80amps when new. Factoring in the age of the wires and connections, the auto elec only wanted to rebuild the alternator 70-75apms max. Nathan called me back today and he is locked in to wire up my car on Friday. Hopefully my immobiliser arrives before then so he can wire that up too. Quote
kangaroosa Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Just thought i would update this topic as my car is all wired up and the immobiliser is installed as well. Nathan (Sprinter86) comes highly recommended from me. Top bloke and knows exactly whats he's doing. Very reasonable rates and nothing was an issue for him. 100 X neater wiring than mine too. :y: Quote
