sidney Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 hey what are the costs of lowering my KE25, and can it be done at home? I used to work at a wreckers so I would most likely be able to do it myself (with guidance) I want to lower probably 2 inches all round, or as low as i can legally go. cheers Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) you worked at a wreckers and dunno how to lower a car? Cheap way is cut front springs, and flip a leaf or 2 in rear. Or buy a pair of lowered springs for front, try pedders or A J P S... and get rear leafs reset, and one added for extra stiffness Welcome to RC btw.. merry Xmas! OniBerserker Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 ...or flip ther rear leafs Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) Flip leafs = quicker wear and tear apparently, wouldn't know personally. as said cheap option is cut springs, and flip rears pricier option is proper lowered spring, and get a extra leaf put in and leafs reset Edited December 30, 2008 by Falken_KE30 Quote
colonel Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I got a quote a few weeks back to reverse the spring eyes and add an extra leaf. It was $250 if I removed them myself. A brand new set of front lowered spring should not cost more than $150 Quote
