Cool. How long do you expect it to take??

When your done wanna make me one :lmao:

I expect it to be finished in about 7-10 days, Then it has to be inspected as I am not a trailer manufacturer. I can make you one for sure maybe just a little smaller than this one is going to be 16 ft long and axle spring set able to carry over 3250kg

o true, damn

will be good when done, you have a photo of one your copying/ designing from?

Travis

I have been going to do this project for 10 years and never got around to it. I have taken photos of trailers I have liked, i will use the good points to hopefully make a perfect one. I have got a few quotes $8000 - $12000 I can build it well under that price and know what I have.

I like this one off ebay but with a Gvm of only 2000 kgs it is way to light for Me. I also want a rear tailgate and provision for a winch.

There is no excuse for not having this done during the break!! :bash: So mine will be done by the end of Jan?? :y:

Mad I too would love to know how to weld. My cars would thank me for it. And Plastic weld!! I could only imagine what I could get upto with that skill. Like welding the broken pillar covers back together. mmm.

Thanks for the comments everyone, jip plastic welding is so hard i saw a expert do it once there is something like 40 types of plastics. you need the right filler rod and it usually looks like it has been done a mile away, as for steel welding do a tafe course. I only did a 2 week welding course as part of my trade. its practice that will help the most.

Great idea mate.

I might have to learn how to weld also, then my fleet will cost a lot less to move around......

Good luck with the Public Holidays too, hopefully you get the whole day/s to work on the trailer.....

Bugger me, how big do you need it to be? What do you want to tow?

I've always gone for light weight trailers. My current one is 515kg, with a GVM of 1800. Thus I'm able to tow just about any rally car I know short of an EVO.

I must say I don't have a full floor or sides on mine, and thus save weight that way. Just remember the heavier it is, the bigger the tow car.

Winches are easy, you don't need to build them so they're 3 feet off the deck like hire ones, I have a 5-1 basicaly mounted on a cross piece on the drawbar.
