had some delays getting it on the dyno, put it down to bleeding the race pedal box correctly

anyway it went on this afternoon

will post the sheet when i get it but they rang me to say 214.8 horsepower at the rear wheels on 15PSI

pretty happy with that in a 780 odd kg KE20!!!

so you haven't driven it yet? should bring a mad grin to your face!

btw, i'm guessing it will be at least 850kg by now with the diff etc.

yeah you are right in hindsight the hiace diff is a monster

havent driven it yet, getting mod plated thursday and hopefully rego friday

definitely enough power to keep you happy for a while.

I would agree with weight, id estimate my car with the hilux diff, plus heavier g/box, tailshaft, exhaust and turbo gear would weigh around the 850kg mark. Ill hopefully get a chance to get my car on a weighbridge soon to find out for sure.

my ke20 weighed 850kg. that was with a 4age, t50, ke55 borgy diff (a LOT lighter than a hilux), small surge tank etc, gauges, different seats. it did have heavy wheels though - 15" chasers. i reckon i could have saved 7-10kg a wheel by having proper lightweight mags.

AND no tools, no spare tyre.

so 850kg for those cars with a hilux diff and decent gearbox was a way conservative guestimation.

Pics of whole car! :P

That was a really quickly built car. Are you doing anything else to the car before you're happy?

You'll want some decent seats. Wooden planks wrapped in foam and leather probably won't cut it for you!

Good luck with the car.

my g/box and diff would be heavier but the engine would be lighter id say. No spare, no tools. Ive got the same front wheels as yours but with smaller tyres (=lighter) and my rear wheels are only 14's but are an inch wider (7 inch wide) with a 195/60. stock seats/interior

Ill try get the car weighed asap and let you guys know, I'm very interested to know!
