i had a similar thing happen to mine when i did my convo, idled fine but rev it a bit and she'd die in the ass....

turned out to be the actual dizzy was somehow cracked inside or something and sent two signals to the ecu..

so may i suggest you try another distributor if you have one handy.

Yea we changed the dizzy cus the seal was f@$ked but still no change when we go 1/4 throtle it goes fine but wen we go full throtle it retards and runs like shit think it may be map sensor getting it cheaked tomorow thanks anyway.

Sounds more like the TPS (throttle position sensor), Check or Adjust it to the correct settings.

Seeing that it drives fine at 1/4 throttle then really bogging down at full throttle, I would say it's TPS related.

If it's bogging down in certain rev ranges, it could be anything to do with the ignition (plugs, leads, etc) or timing's out.

we tunned the tps using feeler gauge like the book says and seams overrated but il try again and if that doesnt work ill try another one the ecu doesnt show any fault codes thou. we replaced the leads plugs coil and dizzy nd no change.

I'm in nz a we tried another tps but no change, put fuel preasure gauge on and thats fine to, some1 told me that they had the same problem but when they put a speed sensor on it fixed it any1 herd of this?????

are the IAC( idle air control ) water pipes connected? these are the ones connected to the throttle body.

a lot of people disconnect them thinking it'll keep the throttle body cold, but it can cause problems.

if not, connect them and make sure there is flow though it.

have heard of the speed sensor giving problems, but not like this.

how'd you set the timing? with terminals T & E jumped across?
