Nah I had a smoke in my hand when I took that pic and all the smoke wafted into the pic I think it looks cool

That happens to me all the time, I try 3 times to take a pic and the flash picks up the smoke every time.

yeah gettin there aye slowly i have done the boot, down the left side of the car, bonnet, both front gaurds, roof, half right side of the car gotta figure the lines out down the right side of the car it is kinda confuzin

Yeah I got really bored and had them laying around so i thought meh, i'll see what it looks like and I think it doesnt look to bad

 

So you drilled them on a mill with a jig to get the PCD correct?

nah i just got a drill and re drilled them there not on the car anymore and i was never intending on using them on the street

I stripped the motor down this arfternoon and found it needs a full re build, was gonna do it anyway but yeah it's a little worse than just a head gasket at 1st glance, the oil had gone all milky and was gettin stuck everywhere, I pulled the sump of it this arvo and found it deff' needs a re build rods had grime and crap build up on them but other than that it is coming along nicely.

 

Does anybody know if drysdale books in the valley(brisbane) would have a tech book on the 4k????

Congrats on the motor. What is it? 4k? Sorry to hear the bad news, hope you get it sorted.

 

Have you thought about a 4ac or 4age? Only because you have a ae71.

yeah man i still have the origanal 4ac but i couldnt find an AE71 5 speed in time so i just went back to the 4k and the k50 with the auto diff still in it :cool:

 

I was planning on re building the motor anyway but i was hoping on just stripping the head doin the head gasket then throwin her together and gettin it rego'd

 

Oh did some body work fixin rust holes i have found aswell

So you need a T50 manual gearbox for your 4ac? Id just keep looking for a t50 rather than worry about fixing up a 4k. I can only judge a 4k power by my brothers new ke70 auto. One word - SLOW. Maybe manual would be better. Good luck with it man :cool:

Cheers bud yeah I was searchin basically since i owned the car!!!!!! so i bought a k50 and all the neccasary manual conversion parts off rollinalong on here because it was a decent price then i picked up the motor for 100 bucks so i can't really complain!!!!! :cool:
