trav_555 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i have a 5k liteace induction setup on my worked 4k, to a pod filter hanging in between battery and radiator, makes mad noise, its in a box too, custom by myself, so its legal enough ill get some photos later as its raining cost 25 from wreckers and pod 40, including pipe off lite ace from wreckers Quote
philbey Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Hey shaun, just an observation, that pod sitting right on top of your motor is probably worse off than a standar Air Cleaner intake! Might want to run a couple of feet more pipe. Quote
ke30Rolla myles Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) heat rises you got up pod above a very hot place :) Edited December 12, 2008 by ke30Rolla myles Quote

coln72 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Used to run an old radiator hose I found lying around the shed on the snorkle of the aircleaner. Ran it out through the radiator support panel so it sucked air from behind the grill. Cost $0 :) Quote
DearmanKE Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) don't add mroe pipe just swivel it so its not over the motor, this cost me 30 cents of cutting disc, lol Edited December 12, 2008 by DearmanKE Quote
trav_555 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 that is one messy and dirty engine lol :) Quote
DearmanKE Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 (edited) yeah but it went damn hard, miss that thing second gear snakeys in the dry any day and it was just a stock 4k that didnt idle properly lol Edited December 13, 2008 by DearmanKE Quote
tas_ae71 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 not only is the filter above the motor but its directly behind the raidator and fan.... Quote

Tally Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Hey Guys I was thinking of using sumtin like a Ramflo or K&N filter that just bolts to the carby, then running a pipe from a hole in the radiator support panel to direct air to the filter like that? Quote
trav_555 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 mate seriously don't spend heaps of money, all it does is make a cool noise on a 4k, even on my worked 4k, it makes a nice noise and miight give me 1 or 2 in the high top top end but my top end isnt really existant as i still have the stock carbi as i cannot deside what i want just get a 5k plenum thingo and the pipe and a pod, easy enough, enclose the pod to make it all legal cheers Travis Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 or just put a stocking over the top of carb and drive like that :lmao: Quote
