-RoBeRtO- Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 hey all this is my ke70, ive had it for a while now and is being slowly built, I'm putting a 4a-ge in it once i get the cash, i woludnt mind putting a 4a-gze in it but due to the new P laws i wouldnt be able to drive it. its been primed, lowered all around with super low king springs just tidyied the 4K got twin lynx carbys to whack on her for now, and has a cadence sound system, and i tidyied the interior. my other plans for it soon is to get a mettallic silver paintjob with a gloss black hood some meshies or wantanbe rims, my 4a-ge of course, extractors and and an exhaust system. a big thankyou to corolla andy for all the ke70 parts i have purchased of him through out the on going build Quote
08ftw Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Nice. Not a fan of the bonnet scoop though. If you're worried about the P plate laws, i would be more worried about putting a 4age in one, because that illegal as it is, let alone a gze. Get some nice wheels on it and some suspension goodies  What do you plan on doing with it? Just street? or drift/track work? If you are looking for a manual 4 speed and pedal box i may be able to help you out. Edited December 2, 2008 by 08ftw Quote
-RoBeRtO- Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 I'm replacing all the old bushings with super pro ployutherane bushings, and i wanna get a good set of shockies but i don't know what to get?? its jus going to be a daily but i wanna also make it a drifter... i guess ill have to work the 4k then..... not particulary worrying bout the auto box a.t.m thanks 4 the offer i need to save some more money to get it painted Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 mmmmmmm....... i'd reconsider that man, the whole paint before gearbox. 2 reasons 1. If you want it to be a drifter, it ain't gonna happen in a automatic, and what help is the paint. 2. Its gunna be allround so much more fun with a manual my 2c nice looking car tho, i like what you've done with the interior Quote

One option you do have (is still illegal, but owell ) is to put a worked 5k in. Thats what i plan on doing, they look exactly the same as a 4k, but are a 1.5l instead. Not sure about shox, if you just have king spring lows in it, you should be able to use standard stroke shocks. There isn't much variety out there for ke70' struts Quote
-RoBeRtO- Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 thanks, its gonna be a daily, and i jus want it to handle well wen it gets sidewayz. yeah a 5k sounds good but i think ill just work the 4k for now.. like head work and a new cam with my twin carbys i gonna put on it. i need to get it painted soon coz the primer has to be redone and i mite as well get it outta the way first and wen the motor gets taken out for the engine bay to be painted ill work on it then.. A 4k will slide even in stock form but yours has an automatic behind it so it will be a fair bit harder. People who say a stock 4k can't drift aren't trying hard enough. A good hand brake helps out too. Quote
