67Rolla-Ken Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 Anyone know of more old scool car movies from the 70's-80's?? Oh, and 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World' had a few crazy runs in it, as did it's remake 'Ratrace' (not nearly as good imo). Quote
orangeLJ Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 midnight spares FJ holden running on empty Vanishing point days of thunder mad max 1&2 (beyond thunderdome isnt really car orientated!) Gone in 60 seconds Fast and furious movies are good entertainment value, aslong as you don't listen to the "technical" speak.... they double up on things, and say things together that don't make sense (but hey! its a movie, right!?) Transporter 1 &2 are awesome movies. and who can forget "cars" hahaha, loved it. I have a big drawer full of old car movies, but my mind is a blank apart from those ones up the top! Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Le Mans/Grand Prix obviously Bullit purely for the Mustang, the rest of the movie is average apart from Jacqueline Bisset Ronin Italian Job (not the Los Angeles Job) American Graffiti (how can you say no to a drag race between a '55 Belair and a '32 Ford Mad Max 1 + 2 Quote
Mybowlcut Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Duel... purely for it's simplistic thriller style and great camera work. Quote
coln72 Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Let me see Smokey and the Bandit The FJ Holden Convoy (more of a trucking movie though) Cars The Italian Job Ronin Duel American Graffiti will do for starters Quote
