My New Ke30

Hello all. I'm new here but not new to cars.

 

My dad has had a Baby Blue all original ke55, One of the nicest ones i have ever seen and sold it not long ago..For 2K :no2:

 

At the time i would have bought it but i didnt know what i was doin because i had a 98civic coupe etcetc. But that is now gone! And i also have a lifted and locked swb Baby blue Suzy sierra on 33's....Heavily modded..

 

 

Some details on my new ol' rolla before my whole life story comes out..

 

1978 4sp man KE30 Sedan.

 

I Pick her up today at 9AM!!!! Bog stock, 1 owner for 30 yrs! Poo Mustard yellow, brown poo interior 30yrs worth of dents...

 

She will be fixed up. Thinking full respray maybe blue tinge cream, Black interior. 5K mtr, lowered and some 16-17" simmons..I want to keep her mainly stock. So keep am radio, put cd player somewhere else etc etc. Toughen her up abit. I'm over ricers. She will be no performance car, no drifting etc. Just a daily.

 

What do you rolla junkies think??

sounds good. i am doin the same thing, but havent decided what motor to put in yet. I'm debating between a 5k and ca18de. like you I'm not goin to be racin or drifting or anything like that. i juat want a clean sleeper. keep us updated to how its goin. you might be able to help me make up my mind in the process :no2:

These are some pics. Cleaned her right up.

 

Found out the drivers seat has been swapped with the passenger side...The passenger side is worn and ripped...Need a replacement same style..

 

The interior actually doesnt look that bad cleaned up. the brown is growing on me. Also need all 4 plastic black handles as all were broken! Cleaned out all the nrma stickers all over the place. Found out she has the original dealer sticker( 6 number phone number) And has the original dealer plate surrounds and old style number plates!

 

Interior:

 

Cleaned up the outside also, got rid of the old perished mudflaps. Straightened up the ariel and cheecked over the car for rust and also got to pop out a ding in the fr right guard.. Man these are strong steel. It made a massive POP and she was almost as good as new :no2: But there is still a fair bit of damage.. All only surface dints etc. Oh and rear bar is twisted, Bad..

And me and my vacumm. I think it may be older :y:

Also found out that she is a 3K!! I really thought it was a 4K. She went like a pearler once warmed up!!

 

 

NEEDS:

1 Seat. Doesnt matter which side as long as it's the same style!!

1 Ke30 Straight Rear bar!!

Yeah my dads ke55 had a 4K then he went 5K..

 

So i thought mine would be 4K..

 

Also looked in redbook and it said 1978 Mod after november was 4K..Is this when the Ke55's started?

 

Jeez there is so many combinations, Interior, exterior,motors etc etc. :no2:

 

Mine has the same as Ke55 dash as well. Neat as. 1 crack only, and its not that bad.. Dashmat coming soon..

 

Oh and Jip.. By coincidence mine is called Lola the canola corolla haha

Yeah, the KE55 model started in Nov 78. The KE55 dash started in 1977 most likely mid year July/August. What month in 78 is yours?? Add it to the Database if wanted too.

Thinking also keep the original colour now. And some dress rims..

Hey thanks man, my cars aren't anything special.

 

As for the rims and dress rims, do it. But paint the rims black with the chrome dress rims. Tey look phat as.
