madrolla68 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) madrolla68 thats the sort cam i want!!!! what is that thing running??? The engine is a 5K, thats running 7.8:1 comp also so with bigger comp and carbies it sounds mad. Biggest Cosworth grind available. .420" Lift 50/86 316 degrees duration. irokin Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 And a pig to drive to boot! Rough idle, strong top end, competition engines only. Min 12:1 comp ratio. I'm guessing your motor is definitely not a competition engine (or you'd be looking for a cam with the characteristics you want, not just a gay idle) and I'm 99.9999% certain you wont be running anywhere NEAR 12:1 compression ratio. I give it a month and you'll be looking for a stock cam. Quote

Lighten flywheel, remove clutch fan and run something around 290 degrees duration. Should see some excellent lump while remaining streetable. Quote
