kiahn Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) hey all, i bought this corolla 2 months ago, :( the story is that an old lady owned it up until 4 months ago when a student bought it while his 4WD was getting fixed, it's done genuine 102000 k's and i payed 1200 for it and spent 150 on bog and other assorted items to make it look "road worthy" for the cops. :bash: i think it is worth the $1350 whats your opinion??: :hmm: got some tar remover for behind the front wheels front view only 2 mini dents on bonnet rear wheel arch bogged and painted, these my new rims i got off another ke70 Neat rear end w/no dings :) Edited October 5, 2009 by kiahn Quote

kiahn Posted November 22, 2008 Author Report Posted November 22, 2008 umm I'm tossing up whether to go with a 4a-c or just go all out with a 4age while the engine is out I'm gonna paint it either blood red, escort orange or black w/racing stripes :) lowering it, adjustable shocks, new radiator. pretty much gonna go all out in the next 2 years Quote
kiahn Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 this is the T-VIS manifold, looks pretty clean T-VIS butterfly thingo fuel injectors back of the engine, i need all the stuff that goes onto here like flywheel and all, my friend took it off for his car front of the motor, I'm in dire need or the gear that goes on the crank shaft and all the water pump and pipes etc its my baby, my dream engine exhaust ports, intake ports, Quote
drc_ke20 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 nice find on the 4age,how much did you pay for the engine??very clean car! Quote
kiahn Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Posted March 7, 2009 i payed $300 for the engine but its not in very good condition, i hope its only got blown head gasket not cracked head, it needs 90% of the attachments, like water pump and cam timing gear that attaches to the crank. its my project, hoping to have it up and running within 6 months as i have little money to spend and doing whole rebuiild myself Quote
kiahn Posted March 18, 2009 Author Report Posted March 18, 2009 my little rack i made to hold all the nuts and bolts one friggen rounded bolt holding the cam of place, all the parts ive pulled off so far, cleaned all the sludge off them. needs a bit of paint, Quote
Trev Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 back of the engine, i need all the stuff that goes onto here like flywheel and all, my friend took it off for his car I have spare flywheels if you need one, It will need to be machined. front of the motor, I'm in dire need or the gear that goes on the crank shaft and all the water pump and pipes etc You can still buy the crank gear brand new from Toyota, I think it was $32. one friggen rounded bolt holding the cam of place, Could be worse, One of the rear exhaust cam cap bolts in may panelvan has a helicoil holding it in and that is only because I was tightening the covers down and the nut bottomed out on the thread and caused it to turn stripping the thread. While your at it mark your buckets and shims like this: I1,I2,I3,I4,I5,I6,I7,I8 E1,E2,E3,E4,E5,E6,E7,E8 Quote

kiahn Posted April 21, 2009 Author Report Posted April 21, 2009 :P just found out yesterday that my head is bent, need to pay a mate $500 to get it straightened and all put back together. upside of this is that my head will be better than new when i get it back, and will be ready to go straight back on. i have painted my extractors and rocker covers black, still need to put a clear coat on. used VHT 800°C paint have just completed the honing of the engine, and just letting it rust a little bit now under the bench, will have to put a hold on the block while i save up for the head Quote
