its an SR20VE, not DE.

The motor in question is a DE, you can see it in the pictures.

A VE motor is from a FWD (possibly AWD) car, The easiest way to spot the difference it has the dizzy running off the exhaust cam near cyl 4 and would hit the firewall, plenum faces the opposite way etc.

Good choice on the diff, same length as what i got mine cut down to.

Craft Diffs are the way to go, i went somewhere else to save a few dollars and regretted it, as you know.

How long till the diff is done?

You'll probably find that you can use the Hilux you-bolts, but have to make up a plate because the original plate doesnt work on it.

Also, ask craft if the can make the lower shock mount sit slightly higher, as the bolt might not go through, as on mine the bracket is welded too close to the axle housing.

Does that make sense?

Just to let you know to avoid dramas, if i can help.

Keep it up!

Mark

yeah see, where i did my diff they just shortened it and transfered all the stock brackets leaving it up to me to sort out the rest...Craft are the best tho, so you'll be right.

I got quoted on a set of simmons Fr17 and i almost fell over ={
keep an eye out on ausrotary.com second hand sets come up for sale quite often in various widths, offsets and stud patterns

Thing is , I'm running ford 5 stud pattern , i also want 6inch fronts and 7inch rears. So its kinda hard for me to find a set 2nd hand.

 thats a very easy combo to find!

They always come up for sale in that stud pattern because alot of the RX3 guys run brake upgrades on the front and then get a hilux rear end. which is the same PCD as ford, they do it for the massive selection of wheels available in that PCD.

They're usually a 7in front and 8inch rear though, but you will definitely be able to find a set second hand. What offset do you want?

I'm on ausrotary a fair bit, I'm happy to keep an eye out for you

Yeah Ausrotary has some great things spring up for sale!

FR's arent cheap, but surf around and i'm sure you'll find some.

Have you looked at Billet/Showwheels? another option, but not cheap either.

Very unique tho, still up and coming.

That's a cheap price to get the diff done, good score!

Are you just going with a stock LSD centre?

I have a LSD centre that i'll prob run on the street, and will probably weld my open diff for the strip...

13bt-ke20 - i had a look on ausrotary last night but if you wanna keep an eye out that would be helpfull thanks

Ill just run the LSD all the time . I don't think ill need a completely solid diff as it wont get punished that often and that the car is n/a

Ill most likely end up buying the simmons brand new
