StasIII Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 update.. made a template for the gearbox tunnel and sent it off to a fabricator to make one up out of 1.5mm sheet metal. Also bought a Hilux diff 2wd , 4.33 lsd with truetrac Quote
StasIII Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 update... got the guards in high fill as well Quote
Jono Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 hows the clearance with the handbrake. tunnel is cool btw, nice work. Quote
trav_555 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 thsi car will be the shit ahaha pity na, i drove turbo s15 i was like holy crap! havent driven na one yet though Travis Quote
StasIII Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 the handbrake will need to be located 50mm back other then that it fits in nice. Ive driven a Na powered SR20 and they are no nugget . 121kw from this motor Quote
andro0o Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 thats good power from a natural motor? whats done to it exactly? Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 looking good stas, the tunnel looks bloody awesome! 121kw is good power, is that stock? full exhaust and some bits and peices and you'll be munching....not that it wont munch without them...haha Quote
ke20red Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 you can't go any bigger well in qld you can't with the power to weight ratio you would have to go ca1.8 turbo if you wanted it legal however i think it cool the N/A Sr20 will have heaps of good  Quote
Rolliac Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) The car would have to weigh 905kg to put a CA18DET in. It goes buy cc (cubic capacity) to weight. Turbo engine is 1.5x its cc. Rotary is x2. In qld. Edited December 2, 2008 by Rolliac Quote
StasIII Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 Its a variable valve timing sr20 . Inlet cam only. so at 4500rpm or 5000rpm ( not to sure) the inlet cam advances timing on the motor. similar to a nugget version of VTEC 121kw is the standard horsepower for these type of sr20s. there is a Na sr20 that comes out in a S15 called a AUTECH .It produces 147kw without a turbo. Also took the diff into CRAFT diffs today , getting it cut 1inch smaller on both sides then the standard size... so ill be running a litttle bit of dish haha. Quote
Jono Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) there is a 1.6 litre version by autech which produces 147kw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_SR_engine#SR16VE_N1 your setup will rip with the 2 litre torque with high revs as well. Edited December 2, 2008 by Jono Quote
StasIII Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 The AUtech N/a motor puts out the same KW as a Turbo s15 ( australian delievered one) both at 147kw. in stock form. Only difference between my motor and the Autech one is different cams, stainless steel extractors, computer and something else which i can't remember off the top of my head I don't know how good the car will actually go ? low 14s? Quote
furryfrog Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 The Autech sr20de has a higher comp at 11:1, where as yours has 10:1 and sr20det have 8.5:1. S13 sr20de has 9.5:1 iirc.. Quote
andro0o Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 121kw is the standard horsepower for these type of sr20s. lol can someone please explain this sentence? Quote
