I wouldn’t have thought adding gauges would make a dramatic difference. They only have small lights in them and if the lights are off I don’t think they would drain any power. You might have to check your wiring that no wires are touching metal (except earth wires of coarse). My friend’s car had a big problem with a bodge job wiring loom. Wires where hanging every where touching other wires and the metal under the dash. As a result the battery would lose charge over night. I’m not sure if that’s the best place to earth your amps either. A good solid earth is really important. hahahaha I no my earth cabels are not in the right place lol i ran short of 4 gauge!!! Quote
shauns ke30 Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 i had a XE falcon alternator on the ke20 had the wiring changed to suit the new alt all good. piss easy to make a new bracket. yeah sweet as I'm pretty shore that all/some of the bosch model alternators fit in easy as.. xe falcon thats a 60a is an it???? i want to put on a vl turbo 80a as i can get a lot of vl parts!! it should be easy..
