Sheared Bolts On Flexplate

yay, my car is now sounding like a battle tank, because the flexplate is weakened and apparently sheared a bolt off or something.

 

is this gonna cost me $$$ ??

you should be able to get the bolt out of the crank once the flex plate is off.

here's what i've seen with manuals and auto flywheel bolts, they can sheer off easierly, the standard bolt is pretty weak, we changed the bolts to 2tgte flywheel bolts and have never had that problem, now to find these bolts is bloody hard but if you spend sometime in a wrecking yard on a saturday armed with your standard bolt there's alot of flywheel bolts the same length and thread pitch.But

what you're looking for is a bolt with a FLANGED head, they're the strong one.
