SLO-030 Posted January 29, 2009 Author Report Posted January 29, 2009 Chroming them at the risk of looking 1.2million times gayer Quote
trav_555 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) hahaha man you didnt get tuned length ones!! pretty sure i told you too :jamie: o well still should work the goods, there same as mine :hmm: what size exhaust you going with? would 2.5" be a good size since its forced induction? mines 2" on na and still has a ship load of backpressure which sounds way better than f@$kin cannons especially when you get in high rpm as exhausts with no back pressure seem to become queit aroun 6000 rpm, dunno whether it was just the car i drove or whether there all like that but man it was ghey! so whats rough estimate on completion date then mate? Travis ps i wire brushed mine then went to bunnings and got some nice bronze'y high temp paint, looks great  Edited January 29, 2009 by trav_555 Quote
bmxsexmonkey Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) woo i got a mention and chrome would be gay as!! sorry other jason Edited January 29, 2009 by bmxsexmonkey Quote
Jason KE30 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 yes i figured chrome wouldn't look the goods as everything else under the engine bay will be most likely covered in grease :jamie: Quote
Murd 55 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 those extractors are possibly tuned, but not in the normal all pipes same length way, there is another way with them all resonating at different times then coming together to build the back pressure or whatever. i don't kno but i was looking at some tuned in this different way, apparently just as good, anything is better than stock headers thou! Quote
trav_555 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 ahh ok cool didnt know that :jamie: cheers yea definately better than stock ones!!! actually i was surprised at how much better a worked 4k like my one was compared to stock, as i just bought a stock auto, it super slow compared to my worked one! so this charged one will fly!! Tally Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 what you guys talking about chrome engine bays are the shit.... detailing is the shits.... I love it... I guess you should get the car running 100% before any minor stuff but chrome headers are wild, all nicely done old school cars have a bit of chrome/polish in the engine bay.... Quote

Rought ETA is start of march. yes i figured chrome wouldn't look the goods as everything else under the engine bay will be most likely covered in grease :P Not this engy. na ah. those extractors are possibly tuned, but not in the normal all pipes same length way, there is another way with them all resonating at different times then coming together to build the back pressure or whatever. i don't kno but i was looking at some tuned in this different way, apparently just as good, anything is better than stock headers thou! Tuned length is where the scavenging method is used. Each primary is a certian length, and by the time the gasses enter the collector it helps suck gasses from another primary. If you get what i mean. what you guys talking about chrome engine bays are the shit.... detailing is the shits.... I love it... I guess you should get the car running 100% before any minor stuff but chrome headers are wild, all nicely done old school cars have a bit of chrome/polish in the engine bay.... Polished Rocker cover and timing cover should be alright. prolly gonna be using stainless tube for the SC piping. Dunno weather to powder coat it or polish it. don't wanna go overboard on the blingz, Functionality over cosmetics at the moment. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Functionality over cosmetics ALWAYS! Quote
