1st_rolla_ke30 Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 hey guys just wanting to know if you can fit a sway bar to the arse end of a ke30? :jamie: Quote
brendan Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 well i bought 1 for a ke25 from repco so i don't see why not for a ke30 Quote
fusion Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 I think hes asking if you can fit one, not if you can get one. You would be able to, however if I remember correctly from my KE30 you had to drill holes for the swaybar to chassis rail (could be wrong here). With the Whiteline kit I had, it gave you bars to secure your swaybar to the diff housing. Cheers Fusion Quote
JiP Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Yes you can. The update KE55 (square headlights model) came with it. You will need its diff for the mounts apparently. I'm not too sure of what else. I could crawl under my update that I'm wrecking to see tomorrow. Quote

I'm going to fit a ke55 sway bar diff soon!! yes I'm pretty shore it bolts straight up but you mite have to drill some holes to mount the sway bars to the shazzy thats probly all! cheers shaun Quote
1st_rolla_ke30 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 thanks for the info guys someone told me that you could put one end of the sway bar on a bolt on the leaf spring and the other i would have to weld a bracket to my diff. does that soud write? :jamie: Quote
cuzzo Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 better way would be to weld on some angle brackets and use a link kit. however you will either need a ke55 diff or ge some mounts welded onto your diff. Quote
philbey Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 I just picked up a stock KE70(?) rear swaybar that I'm going to jam into the wagon. Its pretty feeble, but if I get that to work then I can upgrade later.... Quote
rolla13bt Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 i put one on mine and it made it understeer like a bitch. better off doing your springs and put some decent shocks in instead. Quote
philbey Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Understeer - usually end up oversteering with a rear swaybar. Quote
1st_rolla_ke30 Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 i put one on mine and it made it understeer like a bitch. better off doing your springs and put some decent shocks in instead. what would the best upgrade to do for the rear leafs? I'm getting hard shocks for the rear. Quote
rolla13bt Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 what would the best upgrade to do for the rear leafs? I'm getting hard shocks for the rear. I just had mine restet 2.5 inch's with an extra leaf and run a set of koni adjustables out of an xu1 shape torana. they are the same dimensions but are a shorter stroke. i can find the part number if you want it. rolla13bt Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Understeer - usually end up oversteering with a rear swaybar. Yeah big understeer followed by oversteer. i've found the best setup is fat front bar and no rear bar. Quote
