eiriksmil Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 This is a late KE70, but is this front for Australian cars only? Haven't seen it elsewhere, we surely didn't get it here in Norway. And also, why is this front also on this car? The web page I found it on (Japanese) says it's a KE70 Sprinter. What's a KE70 Sprinter? Thanks in advance :y: Quote
JiP Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I do think that Japan got that front too. But as for the second car being a Sprinter, I really doubt it. Traditionally the Sprinter model was the one that was most streamlined. It was the sports car that usually came with twin carbs with the earlier models. Towards then end they even included a higher powered engine (AE86) In my opinion, that models Sprinter would have been the second from the bottom... Tho I'm not saying that car isn't a Sprinter, it was usually the sports model that was. Quote
Trev Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 The 2nd one is the sprinter as you can tell by the rear door. Quote
eiriksmil Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 The rear doors, C-pillar and rear section are all different from regular KE70s I have seen. Problem is, I can't seem to find any info on these Sprinters at all. Quote
JiP Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I think there was another model that my pic didn't show. It looks like the TE72 T-18, but with the Ke70 boot lid. Its more a coupe. Quote

Stixy Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 I think you will find that it it is maybe the first of the "AE" series, i have one very much the same and its an AE71..... they came out with the 4AC motorand 5 speed Quote
rjenman Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 also, i'm looking at travelling to Norway for uni Norway really is a great place, if they never got shovel-nosed KE70's........ what do they have? only old style? I prefer those a lot more... Do you have a Ke70? Quote
gr33nm0nk3y Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 i think the 2nd picture you've posted is one of those thai/malay/some other place models, its a built by another car company using the styling of the corolla, for some reason daihatsu springs to mind, I'm probably off on the brand of the other company but its something crazy anyway.. the S badge on the front is a bit confusing thou, looks like sprinter badge but the car isnt a spoontah. You can tell by the way the rear of the rear door kicks back up on the window line to the boot height.. as apposed to the brown car.. which is the late model front end ke70/ae71 (they had this front end on some late ke's, ive had two like that, 1.3ltr slankyfront) cheers -bc Quote
philbey Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Mate did you even read posts 2-9? Quote

Tally Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) here we go.... if you look closly it says Toyota Sprinter, and has a 4K engine. JDM model only Edited November 19, 2008 by Tally Quote
Budowski Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 here we go.... if you look closly it says Toyota Sprinter, and has a 4K engine. JDM model only I like the look of that rear end. My car is parked outside the window at head turning to the right and i keep comparing it to the computer screen looking at those lights, even the quarter panels are are total different construction. The strut hat holes look smaller like on ke30 and not ovaled like a ke70 ?? Quote
gr33nm0nk3y Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 hey i was tired, looked like a daihatsu charmant from memory the way the boot doesnt line up with the rear door sill.. but hey, i obviously know nothing. get bent cheers -bc Quote
