camerondownunder88 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Hi, I have at home a KE1X door hinge and I want to rebush it again. Now I need to use the old pin again so need to remove it with out cutting / drilling etc. How have others gone about doing this? I couldn't get it to move with a punch and hammer the other day so not sure what to try next. But I have penetrating oil on it now to see if that helps. Cheers Cameron Quote
Raven Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Try some Loctite Freeze & Release on it if the oil fails :) Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hi, GOT THE PIN OUT THIS ARVO :) I ended up double checking in my Toyota factory book to see what end the splin was on the pin as it comes out that end and then after seeing I was hitting the right end I just got some more penatrating oil onto it and a bigger hammer. Started to move then just fell out :) Very happy now to re-build them. Cheers Cameron Quote
