Medicine_Man Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 all depends on your budget, future intentions & mechanical ability.. Quote
rwdrolla Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 ok, ok, ok... play nicely. i've asked on toymods, and i've done the google seach, and its all confusing. i'm building a drifter. nothing special, so are the 100KW RWD AGE's easily available? expensive? and whats the description of them? silvertops? from a AE*** ???? i seriously have no idea, just thought some1 on here would have a quick answer for me :D Quote
rwdrolla Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 ok... so a 100Kw is a FWD engine, and needs to be converted to suit RWD... now quicky for a noob like me, that means that: manifold needs to be changed.. any thing else thats going to piss me off? Quote
rwdrolla Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 soo... custom exhaust engine mounts? doesnt the AGE bolt straight into the 4AC engine mounts? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 You will also need to run an external thermostat, you will need to look at upgrading your fuel system, fuel pumps / surge tank etc. RWD intake manifold, Custom accelerator cable, engine mounts from the 4A-C can be used, also the sandwich plate between the 4A-C engine and gearbox, spigot bearing for crank, diff upgrade if you want to "drift" it.. and yes, for a N/A application, the 100KW 4AGE is good, being a 7 rib block its a very strong engine. I'm sure i've missed lots of things, its all dependant on your application, so this is very generalised.. Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 silver top 20 Valve cheapish and awesome engines. and stronger than blacktops. turbo later on down track = good! Quote
ira11y Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Did you want that in 5 Rib? theres no such thing, you can have a 3 rib or 7 rib block and thats all there is between all 4A variant short engines Quote
Jason Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 ive got a RWD small and bigport manifold :D Quote
